Join us for a relaxing afternoon on the beautiful Rideau River, created especially for family caregivers. Caring for someone you love can be rewarding, but it can also be exhausting. This is an opportunity to take a break, connect with others who understand, and enjoy the restorative benefits of being on the water.
Research has shown that spending time near water can reduce stress, improve mood, encourage relaxation, and help restore both body and mind. Whether you choose to chat with fellow caregivers or simply take in the scenery, we hope you'll leave feeling refreshed and supported.
We'll meet at 1:00 PM in the park for light refreshments and an opportunity to connect before boarding the Long Island Pontoon Boat at 1:30 PM for a leisurely cruise.
If arranging care for your loved one is preventing you from attending, please let us know. Beth Donovan Hospice may be able to arrange for a trained volunteer visitor to spend time with your loved one while you enjoy this afternoon of self-care and connection. We encourage you to contact us when registering so we can discuss the options available.
We look forward to welcoming you for an afternoon of connection, conversation, and a little time to simply breathe.
