Join us for a gentle walking group designed for those navigating grief and loss. This supportive eight-week series offers an opportunity to connect with others who understand, while enjoying the healing rhythm of walking together in nature. Whether you’re seeking quiet reflection or meaningful conversation, all are welcome.

 

Dates: Thursdays, September 25 – November 13
Time: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Weekly Schedule:

  • Sept 25 – Ferguson Forest Centre – meet at the Dog Park parking lot.

  • Oct 2 – Rail Trail (Bedell Road) – meet at the south end. Plenty of parking available. We’ll walk up to access the Agroforestry Centre trails.

  • Oct 9 – Ferguson Forest Centre – meet at the Dog Park parking lot.

  • Oct 16 – Burritts Rapids Lock Station (673 River Road) – walk the Tip-to-Tip Trail.

  • Oct 23 – Ferguson Forest Centre – meet at 179 County Road 44 (east side of the road, just north of the Settlers Trail parking lot). Best access for the northern trails.

  • Oct 30 – Limerick Forest Chalet Trails (1175 Limerick Road). For those unfamiliar, meet at Maplewood School in Oxford Mills at 10:00 to travel down together.

  • Nov 6 – Rideau River Provincial Park (2680 Donnelly Drive). Parking available outside the gates.

  • Nov 13 – Final walk of the series! Meet at Ferguson Forest Centre to celebrate 8 weeks of walking together. 

 

Every other week we will meet at Ferguson Forest Centre for a gentler walk, ideal for those who prefer not to travel too far. Snacks will be provided—please bring your own water bottle.

 

Come when you can. Advance registration is encouraged so we know who to wait for and can communicate any cancellations due to weather.
