Supporting Caregivers and Grievers in the Workplace – A Virtual Session for Employers and People Leaders
May 1st | 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM | Free & Virtual

In celebration of Small Business Week, Beth Donovan Hospice and the Ontario Caregiver Organization are offering a free educational session designed to support the employers who support us. Small businesses are the backbone of our community, and as a hospice that relies on local support, we want to give back with meaningful, practical education that helps leaders support both their teams and themselves.

With more than 4 million caregivers across Ontario—many of whom are in the workforce—the need to understand and support employees who are caregiving or grieving has never been more important. That number is expected to rise to 6.5 million by 2030, with 67% of caregivers between the ages of 26-65 and actively employed.

This session is ideal for:

  • Small business owners

  • Major employers

  • People leaders, HR professionals, and supervisors in all sectors

Join us to:

  • Understand the caregiver landscape in Ontario

  • Recognize the impact of caregiving and grief in the workplace

  • Explore best practices for supporting caregiving employees

  • Learn strategies to create a compassionate and resilient work environment

  • Discover tools and resources available for employers and teams

Your insights and questions are welcomed in this interactive session.

Together, let’s build more supportive workplaces for those who give so much—at work and at home.
