Help the Hospice

BDH requires the support of many members of our community to continue to provide our services free of charge. Below is a list of ways you can help our hospice; visit the page for each option for further details.

Become A Member

Beth Donovan Hospice offers a membership option to the general public as a means of being a part of the continued success of the hospice. There are several options for members, each providing opportunities to be involved with hospice.

Volunteer

Beth Donovan Hospice relies on the generous support of volunteers in the community! Volunteers are essential to the success of our organization and are a source of inspiration, dedication and innovation. Some do office and fundraising work, but the majority assist the hospice by caring for clients and helping their families. Check out our volunteer page to see what our volunteer opportunities are!

  • “Being a hospice volunteer is an amazingly rewarding experience. Being able to give comfort and support to families while they are facing a very difficult time, or being able to give them a few hours a week even just to sit and chat, can mean so much to them. I am proud to be part of this wonderful organization and have formed lasting friendships with other volunteers as well as the staff.”

    Sandra Mackenzie, Home-Visiting Volunteer

  • “When I lost my mother and mother-in-law, the hospice and palliative care they received meant the world to us. I knew then it was my volunteer calling. Weighed against other volunteer experiences, this is by far the most meaningful for me. When it comes to end-of-life, we can’t fix the situation or alter the course, but we can make the journey a little better along the way. To ‘make the best day possible’ for clients and their families, that’s my hope.”

    Daryl Webber, Home-Visiting Volunteer
